Christmas Gift Ideas to Plan Now (Yes, in August)

Stay with us.

We know it's August. We know you've probably still got sand in your shoes from the last holiday and the idea of thinking about Christmas feels vaguely offensive. But here's the thing about the people who have a brilliant, stress-free December: they're the ones who sorted it in the summer.
This is your invitation to be one of those people.

The presents that land best at Christmas are never the ones bought in a panic on 22nd December. They're the ones that were thought about. Chosen properly. Ordered with enough time that the person receiving them can actually feel the intention behind them.

By the time December arrives, most people are making decisions under pressure, scrolling through gift guides at midnight, panic-buying things that are fine but not quite right, spending more than they meant to on something that doesn't quite say what they wanted it to say.

Planning in August means none of that.

It means you've had time to think about exactly what each person would love. Time to build a box that feels genuinely made for them. Time to set the delivery date, add your personalised message, and then completely forget about it until December, when everyone else is spiralling and you are not.

The most common complaint about Christmas gifts is that the moment is over too quickly. One minute you're watching them open it, the next it's Boxing Day and the wrapping paper is in a bin bag and the day has gone.

A Seven Yays box changes that entirely.

Seven doors. Seven mornings. Which means Christmas morning is just the beginning, they've still got door two, door three, door four to look forward to. The whole week between Christmas and New Year, which can otherwise feel a little flat, becomes something to savour instead.

Seven Yays lets you plan up to a year ahead, which means you can set it all up right now and not think about it again until December.

Not sure what to put inside? Here are a couple of our favourite things to include in a Christmas Seven Yays box.

WishStrings Christmas Wishes Pocket Hug

A small, beautifully made keepsake that says everything Christmas is supposed to say warmth, kindness, a little magic. The kind of thing people hold onto long after the festive season is over.

Perfect as door one, open on Christmas morning, carry it with you all day.

Bailey’s Original Irish Cream 5cl Miniature

A mini bottle of the one of the most Christmasy drinks ever!

A brilliant mid-box moment. Open on day three when the Christmas excitement is still very much alive.

Christmas Socks

Proper bamboo socks in genuinely brilliant Christmas designs, the kind people actually look forward to wearing rather than stuffing in a drawer. Fun, well-made, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Save it for door seven, the Special Yay, and end the week all cosy!

You've got four months. That's more than enough time to build the most thoughtful Christmas box you've ever given — and have it ready and waiting before the September chaos even begins.
